Zimbabwe has been named one of the most beautiful countries on the continent and it certainly lives up to that in spectacular style. Home to one of the world’s seven natural wonders and the uncontested “adventure capital of Africa” – the magnificent Victoria Falls – and no less than four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Zimbabwe’s diversity and splendour is indeed remarkable.
There are fantastic game-viewing and other adventurous outdoor activities to be enjoyed across Zimbabwe, an unspoilt wilderness that is a favourite for travellers looking for authentic and uncrowded experiences.
Mana Pools
Renowned for its walking safaris and hosts one of the biggest wild dog populations in southern Africa, while the elephants of Hwange National Park enjoy free rein through a myriad of amazing landscapes. Matusadona presents a magical water wilderness and Kariba remains one of the largest man-made lakes in the world and treats visitors to the most breathtaking sunsets. Travellers to Gonarezhou are astounded by the red sandstone cliffs and thrilling big cat sightings, whilst Malilangwe is Mana Pools National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a beautiful 2,196 sq. km wildlife conservation area in northern Zimbabwe. Mana means “four” in Shona, (one of the main vernacular languages in Zimbabwe) and it refers to the number of large permanent pools left by the Zambezi River as it flows into the flood plain. Mana is known as one of Africa’s best game viewing areas, as many large animals come here in search of water. It is also an excellent area for fishing, of course, and bird-watching, being rich in vegetation diversity from river frontage to forests of mahogany, wild fig, acacia albida and baobabs.

Tips for a great safari holiday – Before you travel, we will share tips and advice regarding all aspects of your trip to assist in making it a stress-free and most enjoyable and memorable time!
Children – We can accommodate children at various ages at some of our accommodation on offer! Contact us for youth rates and information…
Wi-Fi coverage – In our opinion, the only way to truly unwind, unplug and escape from the pressures of the outside world as we know it, is to enjoy the serenity and tranquillity of nature with no Wi-Fi access! Sadly, due to pressure to compete with other safari lodges, some of our camps have relented and now have access to Wi-Fi. When booking, we will confirm which camps have Wi-Fi. Depending on your location and camp, Wi-Fi may be very limited or not available at all! Please be aware that use of devices should be limited to your chalet/tent and if used in public areas, to be considerate of others needing a technology free safari.
Travelling alone – A safari holiday with us is a perfect way to travel alone. Why?
You will constantly feel supported and taken care of! From being met at the airport to being hosted at one of our bush camps, our hosts and hostesses and small groups of guests contribute in making you feel, relaxed welcome and at home!
Our safari lodges and bush camps are exclusive and only host a maximum of 10 to 12 guests at one time.
All meals unless requested otherwise are enjoyed together and interaction with each other is a wonderful part of the experience. You will make life-long connections with other people from all over the globe!
I have hosted many single and/or elderly safari travellers in the Zambian Bush who book every year, feeling safe, cared for and enjoying the entire experience!
