FAMILY RETREATS

  (Zambia & Malawi)

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and take your family to the remote getaways of Zambia and Malawi. With a lot of family focussed activities and accommodation, it will be a holiday to treasure for years to come. We have exclusive safari houses which offer home away from home experiences, affording you much needed quality time with your family. At some of the lodges/camps we have family suites which again keep the family together. There certainly is lots on offer, whether you option for safari or beach holidays; or even better, a combination!

SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK, ZAMBIA.
At Nkwali Camp, Luangwa River Camp, Robin’s House, and the Luangwa Safari House we welcome children. Safari activities are individually tailored for each family. We believe that children should be included as much as possible, specific programs are designed for them depending on ages and interests. A full range of safari activities are available including game drives and nature walks to learn to identify animal spoor and droppings, birding for beginners and learning to use spotlights at night.  Families can do activities together or the children can be looked after by our team. Other activities available include safari packs with fun quizzes and puzzles, trips to a local school to meet Zambian children, trips to the Chipembele wildlife foundation, jewellery making at Mulberry mongoose, an art safari at Tribal Textiles and even helping to bake cookies in the kitchen. Teenagers love going to the workshop for the morning, playing sport (beach cricket) or even having a sleep in, lazy morning and fry up by the pool.

EXCLUSIVE USE SAFARI HOUSES Robin’s House & Luangwa Safari House are ideal for family stays as the privacy they afford means families can totally relax and feel at home. Both houses have pools, great for cooling off after a safari.  Small and younger families are at home in the cosy Robin’s House. It has two en-suite bedrooms, one of which can be a triple room for children .If the group is more than five then Luangwa Safari House, with eight beds, is the best option.

SAFARI CAMPS Nkwali Camp:
A family suite that has a master and a dayroom/kids’ room for younger children. Shares a bathroom. Luangwa River Camp: with minimum age of 7 years, we recommend that children share a room with an adult.
